March 29/30 - Ledenon, France. There aren’t many (if any) circuits in current use that have a more dramatic topography than Ledenon. The anti-clockwise circuit comprising flowing corners and major elevation changes mean the rider spends much of the lap leant over, looking skywards over crests. Just north of Nimes, Ledenon plays host to the first rounds of both the French VMA Vintage championship and Klass GP. We’re planning to have the #118 Suzuki GT250 out competing in VMA, and the #118 TZ250 in Klass GP.
April 26/27 - Alès, France. The twisty, technical circuit in the Cevennes national park plays host to round two of VMA. “Episode Cévenol” is a weather term relating to the sudden changes that occur - we’ve been there in August when the weather was calm; next there were tropical thunderstorms; hours later it passed and was back to searing heat. We’re hoping to have the #118 Suzuki out to play again, wishing for some traditional April weather…historically the Suzuki likes a cold & wet Alès.
May 17/18 - Circuit Paul Ricard. The annual Sunday Ride Classic event at the stunningly fabulous le Castellet venue has become a “must-go-to” event for many thousands of motorcycle lovers. Featuring several top-tier races, parades galore and appearances from many famous motorcycle personalities, it really is a special event. It’s also the second round of Klass GP, so we’ll be there with the TZ hopefully. Jack may also take part in some track demos on his 1987 Yamaha FZR1000 Genesis.
Work commitments mean we’ll likely be absent from the next couple of rounds of VMA.
July 5/6 - Brno, Czech Republic. Moto GP returns to the incredible Brno circuit in late July for the first time since 2020. More importantly, Klass will be making the series’ debut there just two weeks before. We’ve had some adventures there in years past with Porsche and Lamborghini in FIA GT3. We can’t wait to return…
Aug 9/10 - Grobnik, Croatia. We’re hoping to squeeze in a visit with the TZ to the AAIMC event at a beautiful circuit formerly host to the Yugoslavian round of the Motorcycle Grand Prix World Championship - many years ago. Last year we enjoyed the Klass GP season finale there, where the fast, anti-clockwise circuit was universally revered.
September 13/14 - Cremona, Italy. The 4th and last instalment of the Klass GP series takes place at a venue recently added to the World Superbike calendar. It looks similar to Alès, but being in Lombardy, hopefully without the crazy Cevennes weather. Should be fun.
